Where is my BCH after redeeming?
After redeeming a loan, some wallets may not show your BCH balance correctly. Don't worry - your BCH is still there, but the wallet might be hiding it due to how the transaction is structured.
How to fix it in Cashonize wallet
Cashonize Split BCH from Tokens feature
The Cashonize wallet has as "Split BCH from Tokens" feature to transform the balance into a more common utxo format.
How to fix it (Generic)
In other wallets, when your wallet is not showing the correct BCH balance, you can fix it by transferring the MUSD to yourself:
- Go to "Receive" in your wallet and copy your address
- Go to "Send MUSD" in your wallet
- Send the MUSD to the address you just copied
This will create a new transaction that separates the BCH into its own UTXO, making it visible in your wallet.
You can also connect your wallet to Cauldron and use its wallet functionality to transfer all MUSD to yourself (using MAX button).
Technical details
When redeeming, both the BCH and MUSD are sent to your wallet in a single UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output). Some wallets will treat this UTXO as only containing MUSD, ignoring the BCH balance in it.
The UTXO will show up in your wallet like this.
